Oxeye Daisies

This wonderful daisy grows abundantly on roadside verges and in meadows in England in the summer months. It is also known as the marguerite, moon-daisy or dog-daisy. An extract from this plant was used in former times to cure diseases of the liver and chest. Juice from the stems was also used as drops for runny eyes.

Artist Reply: I am glad you like my daisies. They are one of my favourite flowers too. Drawing these wonderful plants makes me realise just how fantastic nature is - no-one can ever completely replicate all the amazing details but you can have fun trying!
