You don't see Triptychs very often and when you do they seem to have no relationship or continuity. You did very well with this one. I love the flow of the water and the softness of the piece.

Artist Reply: Thank you, Faith, for your kind comment. I'll tell you a little about this painting. When we were visiting Florida, we stopped at this magical lagoon. I had my camera, but the white heron had just flown, leaving only the rings in the water. Later I blew up the photo that I took onto rice paper, split it into three, and added in the heron from several other photographs. Then my wife painted the three sections. It's part of a series called "Gulf Scrolls."
