Between the municipalities of Santana do Ipanema and Dois Riachos, in the high hinterland of the state of Alagoas, by the highway that leads to Paulo Afonso (state of Bahia), a little church stands out in the most beautiful landscape. It was built in honour of Padre Cícero Romão Batista from Juazeiro. The owner of the piece of land, João Antonio, was saved he and his wife Maria Ferreira from persecution by the king of outlaws Lampião, of bad fame, when he cried out meu padim pade Cirço (my godfather padre Cícero), which caused the bandit to flee from his farm. The screen measures 70cm wide by 50cm high.
