Mother takes care of her newly born child in cradle at kitchen. In India, due to over reproduction children are neglected in poor families. Grow up in such a suffocated atmosphere they have infected by chronic disease. As a result India took top position in the statistic of child death.©Gopal Bhattacharjee

I love grittier portraits like this one. It stands out - the color is fantastic and the framing is wonderful. I think one of my favorite parts of this shot is the universal quality of the action: the mother's face is shadowed, so it could be anyone. I really like that. Good job.Jerry 17 Jan 2007
