Ignite

New CD cover art for Puncture Vine's latest CD coming soon! Check it out... "The power of collision defined in sound, Puncturevine blends the intensity of hard-core rock and industrial with the energy of electronica and house, and the delivery style of hip-hop. Two female and one male vocalist with drastically different styles, deliver an enormously dynamic, but cohesive musical experience. A wall of high energy electronics pounds and growls underfoot, as the future crawls down the vine....... Started in 1995 as an Electronic / Rock crossover project named "unbound", the writing team of Jeff Carter and Hayley Ordiway quickly grew out of the those conventional shackles and went on to form Puncture Vine in '96 / 97..... It has grown in a twisted , and sometimes tormented manner, ( including three side projects, "Scream from the Sun", "AutomatikResponse", and "Generations") since then, and burned itself out , almost literally, twice. Over the course of two full album releases, ( " burn " and " Unravelling Fire" ),, the band has been through countless member changes, including the addition of Sylvian, part of the new Puncture Vine, in 2000, with the "Unravelling Fire" release, And so with more drama than a daytime soap, the vine has withered and re-grown, only to again be re- formed in it's third, and strongest, final incarnation, the vine is trimmed, and grows quickly. The third Puncture Vine album, entitled "ignite", is set for it's release in early spring 2007, with two singles, "Neverchange", and "Machine God", already circulating the Canadian club scene.. The new PV is moving quickly into commercial and film / game promotion, as well as developing a new, more personal, more intense liveshow, and a graphically intense new web page, at : http:// [link] With a modern, risk taking, yet polished sound, the new PV sets out to define a new spirit in modern music."
