The combination of diverse elements, such as mist, a source of contrasting light, an empty street and a big figure in the foreground, create a feeling of timelessness, ambiguity and unreality of the image. The digital manipulation with the black and white imprint emphasizes the illustrative character of the picture. The harsh texture in the foreground and the range of colors resembling sepia-printed negatives accentuate the vagueness of the background and make the entire picture surrealistic.
