Yule, the festival of Winter Solstice.
In the cold dead darkness of mid-winter there are signs that life and light will return as the wheel of the year turns again. In this painting I used vibrant red and green holly as a sign of growth and return of life, and the candle represents hope and the return of light. I hope it brings warmth and happiness to all.
