Valerie 2

At the point which the mind meets the sky-that mid point whence all hope or destruction rallies It is the crossroads where mankind is forced to linger. For the body must return to the realm which gave birth, that place of deep rooted hyacinth and elder oak leaves, but the true light wanders upward, endlessly, and this crossroads is simply a turning towards the truth, and death is at this door, monstrous, hideously beautifying what we call love, yet the reaching continues a turn toward ancient altars and the wine of newer seasons-a place where we resolve to begin endlessly again. From "The Daughters of Eve" Painting Copyright T. Byron K. 1990
