Building up the darkness or details simply forms my picture in stages. The more you go over a work the sharper, darker or more detailed it should become. Pencils, charcoal or pastels all work about the same as a ballpoint.***** Frames, mats, lettering and numbers certainly can add more dimensions to an artwork if done well.
