This is my entry into the Fairy Fun contest under the Cat Fairy Category. Hope you like her story. There once was a pretty black cat named Salem who loved butterflies. She spent all her days snuggling with her owner, while gazing out the window watching the beautiful fluttering butterflies. One day she escaped the house and ran away to play with her flying friends. While playing, she came across a wounded fairy. The fairy was crying because she was going to die. She asked our favorite black cat to comfort her. So, Salem laid down with the fairy and snuggled her close, purring and pressing her nose to the fairy's face. The queen of all fairies saw this and decided to merge the two together. So our fair Salem grew fine fairy wings, just like her butterfly friends. She flew home to her amazed master, who immediately feed her kitty milk and hugged her close. Now her master lets her out to spread her wings and frolick with the butterflies, as long as she promises to be home before dark.
