Spiritbear Shield

The spiritbear shield of which you find the turquiouse shield here was changed for the purpose of creating a more pleasing painting/print from the original, that was painted on the back rest of a big leather chair before it was assembled and is only a section of all the artwork found in this chair. It was commissioned by a southwestern furniture shop for their unusual furniture collection that they carry in their shop. The shield portraying three grizzely's feathers and fetish and was meant to capture the bears strong spirit and medicine. The paint work alone took over 150 hour of work, shows paintings of different types of turquoise stones fetishes tracks feathers and bone feathers with wood tips and of course the medicine shield that here is the main theme. The leather is of deer tanned natural colored cow hide. the actual chair may also be found in this portifolio, thank you kindly for viewing.

Bradford Exchange is a publishing company. Predominantly on Collectors Plates, but they are merging into sculptural works too. This will fit their collection. Think royalties. ;)
