This was in part inspired by the Native Americans with their spirit guide and totems and from the science fiction/ fantasy books of Mercedes Lackey mage winds series. that fired my imagination and inspired me to paint this portrait of Dawnfire with her kyree friend the wolf like creature that speaks mind to mind, in a similar way the animal totems or spirit guides speak to their chosen . this was painted with oil based china paints in several layers and fired between layers to achieve the finished piece. hope you enjoy exploring Dawnfire. thank you for viewing. :-) nighthawk
