Silk Parasol

Pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes (black) 'A playful painting in which I wanted to convey her shyness but also the playfulness in hiding from us behind a translucent parasol. The challenge of this painting was to make the silk parasol look believable by glassing the pastel over the detail of the kimono.'
