(A1 size, 2006) CSM Art Orientation // i always love charcoal's strong effect but also find it very hard to work with -when i'm not in the mood for any kind of line experimenting.. well, about this one here; after a long class, my tutor from the course had checked this work out -quite thoughtfully- and finally said, "umm.. well.. allright.. ok now.. now this looks like plastic.. doesn't feel like human skin. umm.. well, yes, feels like plastic. deniz, you don't want to do that next time." ..but the only thing i could be thinking of -after hours of work- was "well ok then next time you let me sit and make him stand! are we all at least seeing a human being in this picture? yes? well what then?!" ..oh how lazy i was.
