Juan Dedios Marquez

This is a family name sake peice feauturing 4 generation of family members with the same name drawn as if they were all together at the same time. The top drawing on the left is a portrait of the first Juan from the late 1800s and the next one on the right top is from around 1950 and is the youngest ones grandfather and then comes the father on the bottom left and finally the newest generation and the one who asked me to do the artwork. He asked I make it based on kind of a Tombstone theme so I dressed them alike in the drawing and drew a desert landscape behind them based on a desert photo in an Arizona Highways magazine. The artwork is done in marker, pastel and gel pen. Artwork created from many sources by Mark Jorgenson
