Building a better ROBOT...(c)2006 Elton Houck...Build a better robot and the world will come to your door...or was it fishtrap, corkscrew,or mouse gloves? Does anyone really want the whole world sitting on their porch? If that is your desire--then I suggest you move to China. Thank heavens most artists are dreamers only, and our strange forms and colorful creatures are not blueprints for the future..The world is strange enough without our otherwordly fabrications becoming the blueprints for a brave new world ( for the present one is already over the edge of sanity). Thank goodness for the arts--everyone can't be mad scientists, for there are only so many placements available for those positions-- and the rest of us would starve. Yes thank goodness we are in the upper echelon of most needed members of society, or we would all be starving artists....Now what has this to do with building better robots? Don't ask me, I'm only an artist, not a mad scietist!
