(C) 2006, Elton Houck...LITTLE KINGDOMS...right outside our back door. We pass them in a hurry, not even aware they are there. They lack anything to warrant our attention...for they are simple, serene, even mundane. They lack our sophistication and worldliness. These little kingdoms are too insignificant for us busy inhabitants of the 21st. century...But still they are there if we merely slow down enough to see them...
