Artist Reply: wow thanks so much for the kind comment. did i previously comment on one of your works? because usually almost all of my positive comments are reciprocated from other artists. anyway, I am currently working at the detroit free press trying to get into sportswriting. i havent really done any art since i graduated like almost 2 years ago. I have a whole bag of almost-finished watercolor paintings ive been meaning to finish and upload and i will when i get some time. as far as my drawing the lightbulb kind of went on at the end of my beginning drawing course as a senior in college then i went into my watercolor class and the teacher had us all draw the snowman to try and get a feel for how we could shade and illustrate depth. he liked mine the most. it is pretty good but rough around the edges a little bit. i did a pretty good self-portrait in watercolor in that class but foolishly tried to color in the lips with marker and it turned out bad. but keep an eye out and i will post more stuff soon ;) and thanks a lot for the comment they are always a nice surprise. once i get settled in my own place i hope to paint and maybe draw a lot and become more active on the site.
