Natchitoches Cathedral (2006) (Gifted)

This is the charming cathedral at Natchitoches on Cane River. Natchitoches is the oldest city in Louisiana, founded in 1714 by Saint Denis de Juchereau.

Hello David! How are you and yours? This is an informative little painting which tells us about the architecture in your area. As always, the colour speaks volumes. The tell tale signature of the Holcombe 'Red' is in evidence here but the entire image exudes order, stillness and a singular tranquility. Love that little upright row of sentinels in front of the cathedral. Great stuff!
