Nisqually River Dam Basin

This is a capture of the basin after the water from the Nisqually dam is released to form the man made lake. In time the water recedes leaving behind the sheared trees. It is part of the path for elks during their migration. The Niqually dam is at the foot of Mt. Rainier providing a great deal of electricity to the surrounding area. I had some help with the picture from Matt G. Satialee 2005
