trippy lines in a delcate rosy pattern

this was result of seeing a certain artist on elfwood (her name escapes me at the moment) and being inspired by her use of endless detail and lines and designs. well i desided i'd give it a try, but not add people yet. anyway, i plan to transpose onto canvas and hopefully paint this for my mother for Xmas (thats why i didnt bother to finish it completely, figured i'd do it later). i've gotten it sketched on there, but i just havent had the time, or motivation to do so. im feeling the pressure though. i think im just scared, ive never painted on canvas before :) comments and suggestions welcome!

I think the idea is wonderful and the lines are very interesting...Great way to look at a rose...would be cool painted on a cavas...don't be scared...You can always repaint or paint over things that you think aren't to your liking...Try it ...you will most likely love painting, most people do.

Artist Reply: ah yes, why not paint it on a canvas? i tried to. i used the general idea and layout (but not the smaller, thinner lines) on a canvas for my mom because i encountered some problems. i couldnt paint straight lines, and when i tried to use tape or a ruler, the paint got underneath the ruler/tape. i ended up repainting a lot. it was fun; i might try it again sometime. thanks for your comment!
