from the ashes / formerly sandstorm oasis

wasn't happy with sandstorm oasis so I made some changes and really evolved into something very different. Hence the phoenix theme. From the ashes of an abandoned painting comes another. I really enjoyed this one. Decided to mix some enamel for another neat effect. 24" X 36" acrylic on stretched canvas with appropriate edges. Stucco texture also added.

Before I could comment on this I felt compelled to check the original "sandstorm oasis" and although it is hard for me to understand why you chose to abandon the beautiful oasis you created I will say that from the ashes has come a flame if passion. It is nice to still be able to see what you left from the sandstorm and now we have the best of two worlds! .

Artist Reply: Thank you, Ellen, and I very much appreciate your comments on the original oasis. Though I was not completely in "hate" with it, there are some pieces that we feel are incomplete or have not reached its potential. Unfortunately, I feel that way about all of my pieces, but that one more so than others.
