I have used The Eynsham Morris as my subject to explore folklore in our lives. In the days of green magic a male sun god would return warmth and fertility to the world before he faded at the end of the year. So he leaves the church and the year is his ... a man to be found with his fellow dancers in a local pub and, perhaps, an earth god still plays.
