This painting was inspired from a scene I came upon while traveling in Indiana last summer. The old green door cast a warm light onto the hardwood floor contrasted by the dark form of the oak barrel. The pitchers and jars made an interesting composition by themselves. The weasel sits on the left side of the painting. This devise was used to wind yarn into a skein, and once the right amount was wound a small pin popped out thus, "Pop Goes The Weasel".

Beautiful painting David. I love the style. The lighting is perfect.
