Goose Creek Bridge

Autumn in the east is captured in this paintings of Canada Geese near an old covered bridge. The fall colors and the nice lighting add to the overall composition as one of the geese spreads his wings in the warm Indian Summer sunshine. The covered bridge is a symbol of our past. It became a part of our American landscape in the early 19th century and remained so until the introduction of the nonaestetic steel and concrete bridges of our modern world. Covered bridges were constructed in a variety of styles and methods depending on which part of the country they were built. Vermont is famous for their covered bridges, however, Indiana has far more then their New England counterpart. Covered bridges remain a symbol of the romance of our American past.
