Runner

This would be my first attempt at painting cattle. The original start of this painting had about ten more head of cattle but after painfully completing as many that you do see, I decided to cut way back on the herd. The cow in the front really comes out at the viewer with much brighter colors than the back ground for an attempt of a lot more three d effect in the painting. This painting took 3 years to complete because I could never seem to get it just right enough. Photo is blurry and doesnt reveal the detail too well. Thanks for Looking

I like the wild look the steer has.... boy, they sure don't like being told what to do ;) I like the colors and the foreground a lot. For a first attempt, I think you did an excellent job :)

goot first attempt. appears to be a good decision to cut down on the numbers - it brings it to a nice focal point as is.
