this is the first page of the fairy tale I had to illustrate for the art lesson...it shows elenion, the young prince, and fanyamar (the little towers in the lower left corner...I like to refer to them as "elf towers" ^^ and they look just like they could stand right on top of some wedding cake, I know ^^)...elenion spends the nights watching kemen, the realm beneath the stars, from the towers and soon becomes enamoured of the earth...one night he hears a song that obviously comes from the forests of kemen and he decides to descend to earth where he finds the beautiful earth spirit laurelin and falls in love with her...the towers almost drove me crazy because they're just about 6 cm high on the paper which makes it quite hard to draw the stairs winding around the towers...especially if you happen to be a little crazy by nature, as I am, and try to draw every single stair even though you'd actually need a magnifying glass to see it in the end -_-°...sad thing is that now one can't even see it propely on the scan..hmmm, pity you can't view it bigger -_-°...but I guess I'll have to live with that ^^...the blank space between the two pictures is actually ment for the text to fill in...but I couldn't make up my mind whether to put it there or not...as you can easily see I decided not to...so if you wonder why there's nothing but white space inbetween, that's why! maybe I'll just upload the two images one at a time later on...lets see ^^
