It's too late...

"I tried. I tried so hard to help them, but they had to keep pushing. Goading. Now they are out of my hands. Out of mine and into his, and now I know what he will do. I've seen him work before. Cold. Explosive. Decisive. And those eyes. I see now what he does. In every fight, he dies and loses a measure of himself to the blood and the pain. The same blood and pain that I see mirrored in those eyes. Now I know I cannot stop him. He is dead, and so are they." Part of my series of drawings based on my 'Jaeger' fantasy series. On the left is Wolfgang Dietrich, Gartish Warsman. On the right is Michelle Argent, foot-pad and, in this case, narrator.
