A Bison calf from Yellowstone National Park, is laying down atop a small hill. Surrounded by wildflowers and prairie grasses, the calf attempts to clean itself. A larger hill rises up and out of frame in the background. I photograph animals with a long lens (300mm - 500mm) and from a safe distance (on the roadside, sometimes seated in a vehicle), because I don't want to be injured by an animal, and I don't want an animal to be killed.
