When metals rust outside they often create amazing patterns and colors. This painting is part of the "weathered and worn" series that looks for beauty in aged things. Wabi sabi is the idea of looking for beauty in the ordinary or in things we often think of as homely. I enjoyed doing this painting and it's one of my favorite abstracts.
