One of many Filipino traditions is eating together without using any utensils and plates. In old times and even in this modern day, once in a while we still eat together using Banana leaves as our plates, then we just use our own hands in eating the food. This Filipino tradition promotes closeness in family and friends. Also it makes the celebration more intimate fun and down to earth. A moment you can just be yourself with out any rules and just having a great time.
