My most recent colored pencil painting is entitled "Spend Time with Beauty". This is based on a photograph that I took of an antique clock that my parents had and that I grew up with as a child. Even as a child I was intrigued by the beautiful glass door of the clock and how beautiful the chimes sounded. However, as I grew into my teen years, I did not appreciate this clock as much. This is because it seemed that no matter what time of night I came home, the clock would chime! Of course, my objective was to get home without the folks realizing what time it was! This still life scene shows the beauty that I appreciated without the sound of the late night chimes that tarnished the beauty at an earlier time in my life. The piece was done on Grafix drafting film using Farber-Castell Polychromos pencils. The size of the artwork is 18 X 12 inches.
