The Trial

Odysseus and the Sirens. Yes. This took waaaay too long -- better than a week. Final project for my 2D-design at colllege. I was so pleased with it, at least with the Sirens, as they were coming out sooo good... but Odysseus, in my opinion, ruins the entire piece. I tried for two days to fix him, and finally gave up the day the assignment was due. Yay. I don't really care how it came out... but if I work on it any more, I will lose my mind. Symbolism: Chains for lust; emaciated Odysseus to symbolize how long he has been lost at sea; the Sirens are the three stereotypes of beauty (the vixen, the caramel-skinned Playboy blond, and the dark, mysterious seductress); the stormy sky for the horror of the Sirens and the fate they give to their victims. Photoshop Elements and my trusty (new!) Wacom.
