This painting is a portrait of my lovely wife, wearing a ‘Deel’. It was taken on her travels around the steppes, before I came to visit Mongolia. I was under more pressure making this painting than any of my others, since I wouldn’t be allowed to show anyone this painting, if my wife wasn’t satisfied with the result.
