Artist comment: "Ray Bethell is a Canadian kite designer and flyer. He flies all three of these kites individually at the same time; one with each hand and one with his hips. When he set them up as a 'stack', also known as refueling, I saw the perfect composition. I used pastel on textured Canson Mi-Teintes paper. I began with the sky, having fun 'playing' with the whispy clouds. The kites were then painted from dark to light, finishing by carefully putting in the lines."

"Bethell's Beauties" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board.
