Artist comment: "Out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of this spectacular 'kite' creation and marvelled at its design and color. It is 6 feet wide and 34 feet long. As it was ascending on the ocean breezes of Long Beach, Washington at the recent international kite festival, it captured the imagination of all the festival attendees. I painted it with soft pastel on textured Canson Mi-Teintes paper. It was designed by Joachim Nellissen, manufactured by Premier Kites, and owned by flyer Dale Ray."
