Artist comment: "What a fun thing to see at the kite festival at Long Beach, Washington. It was so creative and innovative that I was totally intrigued. I knew I had to paint these eyeballs! I used soft pastel on toned Mi-Teintes paper. Starting with sky and sand then the distant ocean, I then did the blue, white, and finally the black 'eye lashes'!"
