A fabled bird of Russia. Larger than an eagle, the Fire Bird glistens like the sun and has feathers made of pure gold. It is said that when this awesome animal takes wing, it creates a strong wind that causes trees to creak and bend, the seas to foam, and all other birds to fall quiet. ©DanielleReeder
