The Concoction

The art box is a commission piece for artist, Brad Michael Moore. Four types of solid wood have been used in making the art box: wenge, teak, walnut, and mahogany. From the outside the chest is both inlaid and stained with squarish patterns. The front/back and both the sides have matching designs/colors. Brad Michaels fused glass art is placed on the lid of the art box using a lip. The bottom side of the lid, which you see in the picture, is hand carved. *Hand carved means the specific use of non-power hand held tools such as chisels - NO lasers, power tools, etc. are used* The piece is hand chiseled and branded by the carver. It is not for sale.
