March 2013, Joseph of Arimathea holds the dead Christ as Nicodemus comes to help prepare the body for burial. This is now where Christ has finished his work when God crushed him because of our sins and is now being laid in the newly hewn tomb. ( Joseph of Arimathea came a prominent member of the Council who himself was waiting for the kingdom of God; and he gathered up courage and went in before Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Mark 15:43) And Nicodemus there...who proved his courage for coming out now, in the light when before he came to Christ at night. He took a great chance to openly come to help bury Jesus's body....but out of great courage and a new heart, they served their God.
