Hallow Weenie Chevy SSR Decorated for Halloween by the Local Cow-Girls in Town is a laugh riot! Traditionally out our way the men are busy ranching, working on their Rat Rods and helping out other folks wherever they can. The women in the Texas Hill Country pitch in with everything from working the place long-side her old man, bringing in dinero from a job in town and helping out those in need throughout the community – nice folks ~:0) Now come fall and the cool weather blows through; things start cooling off a smidge folks start putting together their Harvest Celebrations – which includes Halloween. Banners go up! Temperature goes down and old projects set aside during the hot weather get picked up again. This wacky Hallow Weenie Chevy SSR decorated for Halloween is a prime example. Girl named Tawanda got herself a nice Chevrolet SSR Pickup Truck for going off to college and she and some of her cowgirl friends – babes of the ranch-land you might say – added a few lights to her midnight black hot rod for the occasion. – Ha! Her brother Lester got to drive the tamed-out street rod in the Bandera Harvest Parade with Tawanda and her best friend Jesse riding in the back with lights flashing and crepe- streamers twirling while the high school band played on. About forty assorted street rods, hot rods, rat rods and restored cars and trucks took about a half-hour to drive through town and around the square a few times showing off for the local celebration. A great time was had by all. At the Halloween Dance everybody lit-up – in more ways than one – their cars and displays for a night of celebrating another hot summer behind us. This truck – titled – Hallow Weenie Chevy SSR won the trophy for the funniest lights screwed on the front of a perfectly good hot rod and I got to be the official photographer and Grand Marshal of nonsense for the evening.
