A Sudden Chill

In the Northeast, often a spritz of snow will decorate the landscape before the fall leaves have left the trees. It is the cold which accompanies such intrusions that will cause the leaves to fall in great numbers...The combination of oil paint and cold wax applied with palette knives, creates a thick textural painting. It gives the vibrant landscape another whole dimension with every crevasse ridge of careful placed medium.Mixed media on canvas. 91.4cm x 91.4cm. 2007
