Gnarled

I found this tree @ the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. The tree lokks like an old angry man to me. He is looking over to the lock control house with complete displeasure.

incredible find, James. and well photographed. i to see an old man, caught up in the trunk of the tree. just think what might of caused this and how old this tree is. wow , mangles the brain to think of it. excellent work!
