This still life oil painting is one of a classical theme. It is 18" x 24" in size. One will find many of the types of objects that are found in Old Masters still life paintings.
Very beautiful colors and good mastering of the light! The grapes look lush and the fruits and/or vegetables (is that an artichoke in there?) in the vase/goblet look very vibrant...the whole composition gives a very "velvety" feel, indeed! The closest parallell I can come up with in comparison to this artwork is the French eighteenth-century painter Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin from the Old Masters!
