I don't usually take the time to paint fanart like I do the rest of my work. I always prefer to do original art over fanart, but fanart is fun to do sometimes and this time I decided to go full out with this cute lil' Chi swinging on a swing in the springy spring spring time. Sorry, got a little carried away with that ryhme ^_^;; Anyway, I guess I was hoping to maybe make a little cash off of this one which is why I chose such a popular little subject to paint. The medium of choice is of course; watercolors. My pictures always scan darker than the original picture, I did an auto level on this one in photoshop 7 but I still don't know if it does the original justice. The idea came from a combination of two pictures: the cover art for Volume 5 of Chobits, and some fan art Misato-Chan did with Chi sitting on a swing. My end result was this. It doesn't look as soft or pretty as CLAMP's art, but then again I wasn't trying for an exact replica either. I'm my own artist, after all....^_^;; If anyone is interested in buying this picture (and I hope someone is) then please contact me via Devart and we'll talk about it.
