Artist comment: "Hawaii is truly 'paradise'. With sunshine and gentle breezes and warm temperatures, one could stay forever! While my husband and I were attending a kite-flyer's convention, we made time to visit the 'tourist' sites. This view from the top of Diamond Head was surely a highlight of our stay. Later in my home studio, I painted this scene with oil on canvas. The composition was a natural choice with strong diagonal lines off-setting the verticals of trees and tower."
