My first picture after completing one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life.... basic training, then onto AIT to learn how to work on fighter jets in the Navy. Although it's been the hardest thing, it's a time I would never ever trade in for anything. I enjoyed my time in and seeing the country, as well as spending time in Rota, Spain - 2 years there and what an eye-opener into the world outside Kansas.... I was so young, the world was my oyster and after all the heartache I'd been through my last year of high school, liking someone who didn't even know I was alive, I needed to get out and find other things, other people.... funny, that same person hurt me again recently... guess I wasn't as invisible as I thought.... then again, maybe I was. My eyes tell the story of my life at the beginning of my military career.... full of wonder, excitement...and oh so tired....
