two asleep, from the other site

One of Van Gogh's most famous works is the painting of to people asleep in the summergrass. At the Paintersfestival in Zundert in juli 2004, we had several model-sessions. The same elements as for example Van Gogh once saw, but with the possibility of making your own new artwork. here's mine. 40/40 cm, oil on canvas

Mieke, thankyou for the comments, though sometimes i am an abstractionist, an expressionist, a realist...i need to express as my mood and inner self requires...i wont box my self in a style, medium nor presentation of subject matter the way i wish people to see it.. this painting shows a relaxed reposed figure amid the chaos.. lovely brushwork and palette choices....
