Each year a local Gallery Art of Visalia, put on a art ruse. For the sixteenth year a Sofa Art contest and Show. Open to the public and all ages, and groups. One of the local art happenings in this area. The rules are simple follow the title format and it has to include a sofa or some style of sitting object. Some are more refined than some, others are really outer space. The theme this year was Sofa Art tours the Golden state. Liking the old and refines sofas, my pick to put in my picture was an well kept Victorian Style sofa. Floating it on a cloudy sky I I built visited places, that are know by all in Calif, San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge, Mt Shasta, Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, General Sherman a Redwood in Sequoia National Park the largest and oldest living thing in the world, Then to my west Moor Bay with its famous Moor Rock. To top off the mineral work a Cornucopia llets on the seat of the sofa spilling out all the grown produce of California. Enjoy your ride.

I so love this! so comfy

Artist Reply: Thanks Theresa, the sofa was done with texture using a pick and scribe tool. Then the nap of the paper I roughed up with the sharp edge of a knife blade, then sanding to get the feel of cloth. A fun work than was enjoyable. David
