Mineral Forest on Rice Paper

Taking an old fold-out damaged screen with cloth backing, I removed the damaged paper layout. Making my own Rice paper as a first ever attempt, turn out to be quite good. Gluing four pieces in place of the damage ones I had a stage set for my minerals. At first when attempting to grind the minerals on the rice paper, it tore. Replacing and then restricting my self to only wood, started to apply the minerals. What you see is the results of my love of minerals.

a very unique and fine work...

Artist Reply: metin topa, glad you liked the rice paper work. It was a fun piece to work on. A learning thing with making paper, to using the rice paper with the mineral which was never done before. With each piece I learn and collect information to be included in my up coming book, both art and DVD show and tell hope will do real well. Scotty
